logo-eenengEnterprise Europe Network was launched in 2008 and combines and builds on the former Innovation Relay Centres and Euro Info Centres. The Network is made up of more than 500 partner organisations in more than 40 countries employing around 3,000 experienced staff - Chambers of Commerce, Agencies for regional development, and universities’ technological centres. Enterprise Europe Network works in the 27 EU member states, in the EU candidate countries (the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Turkey), the European Economic Area (Norway and Iceland) and other participating countries such as Armenia, Israel and Switzerland.
The CCI - Stara Zagora is a contact point in the Enterprise Europe Network.
The basic aim of the Enterprise Europe Network is to support Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in developing their innovative potential and to raise their awareness on EU policies. For achieving its goals the Enterprise Europe Network develops and provides a portfolio of wide range of integrated services to SMEs on the principle of “one-stop shop”. Enterprise Europe Network is a tool reducing bureaucracy, corruption and confusion when companies search for the appropriate institution to deal with a problem. The network partners provide information on and access to EU policies, programmes and funding opportunities. Enterprise Europe Network provides assistance to companies in finding potential partners for commercial cooperation, especially abroad. The entrepreneurs are consulted on developing new products, entering new markets, activities and funding opportunities from EU institutions and programmes. Companies can get consultations on technical matters such as intellectual property, standards and EU legislation. Enterprise Europe Network is a two-way street for entrepreneurs and European institutions, which assists the exchange of information and views both ways.
The network can help entrepreneurs also by organising individual on-site visits in different countries aimed at establishing business cooperation. An assessment of companies’ needs can be done and proper solutions can be suggested.
Enterprise Europe Network partners maintain rich and regularly updated databases on business, projects, and technology partners search.
The technological breakthroughs and achievements are essential for the economic development of the regions and the local communities in Europe. For that reason, the network pays special attention to the promotion of research works. The implementation of innovations enables companies to create new products and services, to reduce the cost-of-production, improving the production technologies. A network priority is also the improvement of the companies’ energy efficiency as well as the environment.
