Net Sale Revenues – BGN 2,764 mln.

There are approximately 6,000 wholesale and retail trade companies registered in the region of Stara Zagora, which generated net sales revenues amounting to BGN 2,764 mln. in total. This is a 32% growth rate compared to the previous year (BGN 2,101 mln.). The local trade companies contribute a substantial share (35%) of the total net sales revenues of the region. In terms of NSR, this sector ranks first with BGN 1 bln. more than the Manufacturing Industry. The actual share of the trade industry is much greater, because the financial results of large trade companies such as Metro Cash and Carry Bulgaria, Billa Bulgaria, Technopolis, Mr. Bricolage, Praktis, Praktiker, Baumax, Zora, the stores within Park Mall Stara Zagora, OMV and Shell gas stations, etc., are not registered in the regional statistics office.
37 of the local trade companies have NSR of over BGN 10 mln. each. 33 of them are wholesale traders in solid, liquid and gaseous fuels (GU – Faraday EOOD, Ritam 4 TB EOOD, Kalvacha Gas AD and Zara – EOOD); tobacco products, machinery and equipment for the Agriculture Industry, construction materials, machinery and equipment, etc.  
Leaders in the regional retail trade sector in terms of NSR are the companies trading in automobile fuels and oils: Euro Oil OOD and Zara Gas OOD, as well as retail traders in foodstuff and beverages and household appliances: Kazanlak AD and Accent Shop EOOD.
The total profit earned by companies in the sector is BGN 105 mln.
